Some shipmates were transferred to other ships for transport to hospitals, died from their wounds, and later were officially declared as Killed in Action. We have included their names on the TAPS list. These include Robert E. Anderson, Lloyd Bentrup, Bernard Ekleberry, Alfred Garcia, Ralph Kugel, Lloyd Moreland, and Arthur Rowden.
